Weekly yoga returning to the Student Center

Hampton alumna, Founder, and Lead Instructor of the Hampton Roads yoga studio, Infin8te Lotus, LLC is bringing “Yoga in the Student Center” to the university.

Starting on March 23, Khalilah Miles will lead beginner-friendly classes in the Aerobics Room every Wednesday at 5:30 PM. In Covid-friendly fashion, each in-person class allows space for 20 participants from HU’s community of students, faculty, and staff.

Along with a BS degree in Marketing from HU, Miles is also a certified and registered member of the Yoga Alliance, the largest nonprofit organization representing the yoga community in the U.S., as an RYT500, or experienced instructor with more than 500 hours of yoga teacher training, and Continuing Education provider.

Khalilah discovered yoga nearly 20 years ago as a tool to manage stress and ground herself according to the Infin8te Lotus website. Her personal growth in yoga has “helped her to grow stronger, resilient, more flexible and fearless both on and off her mat.”

Khalilah leaves a mark on all of her classes with her intuitive and nourishing teaching style. She empowers her students to use their minds, bodies, and spirits to tap into their

own potential by reaching beyond any perceived limitations.

Before HU closed in at the onset of the Covid pandemic in March 2020, Khalilah taught weekly yoga and Zumba classes, which were open to the local and campus Hampton communities, in the Student Center.

Finally returning to campus after more than two years, Khalilah said in an Instagram post, “So happy to be back in-person at my Home by the Sea!”
