WHOV Student Spotlight: Naisa Crawford

This week’s student spotlight highlights Naisa Crawford. Crawford is a second-year business entrepreneurship major from Rochester, New York who is putting her business leadership talents and skills to use with her own clothing business and brand called Mxed Behavior.

Crawford created her brand as a way to highlight mental health support in the black community. She was inspired by a mentor who pushed her to launch the brand. Crawford says she believes it is important to continually discuss mental health, especially among college students. Her goal is to become an advocate for mental health and also help teach children and adults for future generations to come.

Crawford utilizes social media to push change towards mental health by marking posts that are helpful and resourceful for accessible information on mental health needs.

Mxed Behavior clothing apparel offers hoodies, t-shirts, masks, and hats, and more to create awareness about Black mental health issues and bring unity on the topic to the Black community. Crawford plans to keep expanding her brand, especially across Hampton University campus, she is currently looking for brand ambassadors for the clothing brand as well.

For more information on how to purchase apparel or join the MB team as a brand ambassador, visit the Mxed Behavior Instagram page.
